One of the questions I get asked a lot is, “I’m thinking about selling my business; what’s the first step?”
It’s quite simple, but I totally understand why it seems hard. There are a lot of emotions that come with selling a business. When I decided to sell my own business, it took me years to take the first step.
The first step is to have a 15- to 20-minute discovery call. This is just an opportunity for me to learn about your business, your goals, what success means to you, why you want to exit, and what’s most important to you.
From there, I’ll evaluate your business and determine whether it’s ready to sell now, within a year, or two years from now. After we get done, you’ll have a solid game plan going forward.
